On July 7th, MINGYANG SOLAR , a subsidiary of Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co., Ltd., held a grand opening ceremony for its Shanghai Center, showcasing the strength and determination of Mingyang Smart Energy to lead the industry with high-efficiency HJT technology, expand globally, and support the national "dual carbon" cause. More than a hundred distinguished guests, including state-owned enterprise customers, strategic suppliers, research institutions, and industry media, witnessed this important moment together.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Rui, the Director of Mingyang Smart Energy and chairman and general manager of MINGYANG SOLAR., said in his speech, "2023 marks the 30th year of Mingyang's deep cultivation in high-end equipment manufacturing and new energy industries. Simultaneously, MINGYANG SOLAR will accelerate its globalization efforts, enhance market service capabilities, establish a global team and business network, and strive to achieve over 20GW of advanced PV production capacity by 2024, entering the forefront of the market for ultra-efficient PV products.

During the ceremony, Dr. Luo Qian, the Director of Mingyang PhotovoltaicTechnology Research Institute, shared the development roadmap of MINGYANG SOLAR, including the R&D roadmap for high-efficiency HJT technology, mass production efficiency, and future layout.

Dr. Luo Qian pointed out that through continuous research and development of technologies such as silver-free cell technology,

, ultra-thin cell technology and low indium TCO technology, the mass production conversion efficiency of cells is expected to exceed 26% by 2024, reducing the thickness of the solar cell to 110μm and reducing the silver paste consumption to 12.5mg/w.

In terms of market strategy, since the official layout of the HJT photovoltaic industry in 2022, Mingyang Smart Energy has formed a first-phase project with a capacity of 5GW of cell and module production. The 78/72/60/54 series of high-efficiency HJT modules have gradually increased in shipments, with their comprehensive advantages in higher power output, higher efficiency and lower temperature coefficient being fully recognized by domestic and foreign customers.
