On November 23, 2023, the 2nd N-Type High-Efficiency Battery and Metalization Technology Seminar was grandly held in Chuzhou, Anhui Province. The seminar was jointly organized by Changzhou Photovoltaic Industry Association and Photovoltaic Research Institute, aiming to further accelerate the collaborative innovation and development of the N-type high-efficiency battery technology industry chain. Zeng Xinlin, Deputy Director of PV Cell R&D at Mingyang, was invited to give a presentation on "Mingyang Heterojunction's New Metalization Route".
This conference attracted nearly 300 industry technical experts in N-type batteries, silver paste auxiliary materials metalization, and process equipment. They gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on the N-type high-efficiency battery and metalization industry chain, key technologies, supply chain, and future trends.
Zeng Xinlin pointed out in the report that the new metalization technology is a key issue of common concern for different photovoltaic cell technology routes and an important means for photovoltaic cells to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The core key material in the metalization process of the battery is silver paste, which not only directly determines the conductivity of the battery cell, but is also the core consumable with the second highest proportion in the cost of the battery, second only to the silicon wafer. As a leader in heterojunction photovoltaic products, Mingyang Solar has achieved a series of results in reducing costs and increasing efficiency of heterojunction batteries through continuous R&D and technological breakthroughs, such as printing technology improvement, paste improvement, 0BB technology, and silver-coated copper technology.
