Industry Honors | Mingyang PV Won TUV NORD "Optical Energy Storage" Quality and Efficiency Aw

On March 23, Guangdong Mingyang Photovoltaic Industry Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Mingyang Photovoltaic") was invited to attend the "Digital Innovative Future - Quality and Efficiency Global Optical Energy Storage Technology Seminar" held by TÜV Nord. Dr. Luo Qian, President of the Mingyang PV Research Institute, participated in the roundtable dialogue as a guest speaker, and talked with industry experts about the technological innovation and energy efficiency improvement in the future industrial chain. In the awarding session of the conference, Mingyang MY series photovoltaic modules won the "TÜV NORD" Optical Energy Storage "Quality and Efficiency Award".

This seminar focuses on the current status and development trend of the global optical energy storage market, the development trend of photovoltaic cells and high-efficiency module technology, cost reduction and low-cost innovation and other industry concerns, aiming to promote technical exchanges and common progress in the optical energy storage industry.

In the roundtable dialogue session themed "Discussion on photovoltaic + opportunities and technology in energy storage industry", focusing on the direction of technology development and future industrial layout, Dr. Luo Qian explained the technical reserves and industrial chain integration advantages behind Mingyang Group, which, as a leader in wind power generation unit, chooses heterojunction as the key development direction to enter crystalline silicon photovoltaic power. Dr. Luo Qian stressed that, "The heterojunction route currently has good bases of material, talents and equipment. Short-term cost reduction progress can be expected. I believe that in 2023 there will be an outbreak of production expansion, and the heterojunction cells will become the mainstream products in the industry by 2025", which fully demonstrates Mingyang Photovoltaic's firm confidence in the cost reduction and efficiency increase along heterojunction route and the release of production capacity.

When talking about the recent capacity planning of Mingyang Photovoltaic, Dr. Luo said that the capacity scale of 5GW+10GW of Mingyang Photovoltaic cells and modules is already under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. In addition, 10GW+20GW capacity is also being demonstrated and planned.

At the subsequent "Optical Energy Storage" quality award ceremony, with its excellent performance in high conversion efficiency and high reliability, Mingyang Photovoltaic MY series modules won the annual "Optical Energy Storage" Quality Award issued by TÜV Nord.


Mingyang MY series N-type high-efficiency component products can be widely used in centralized, distributed, agricultural and fishery complementary applications, is currently a highefficiency industrial solution. This award reflects the globally renowned organization TUV NORD's full recognition of Mingyang Photovoltaic's innovation and continuous deep cultivation in N-type heterojunction technology.


Since its establishment in 2022, Mingyang Photovoltaic has been committed to the research and development of N-type heterojunction cells and modules, and combined it with innovative PECVD process routes to create high-performance photovoltaic cell modules. At present, it has completed the construction of heterojunction cells and high-efficiency components production line of 2GW+3GW, with 5GW+10GW in planning, and will achieve 10GW+20GW capacity in the future.
